Jon Lipsey is the UK’s leading fitness branding expert and one of the world’s most experienced fitness media producers. He is the former editor or Men’s Fitness magazine and during his time managing the multi-platform brand he steered it to it’s highest ever circulation and profitability.
In 2012 he was nominated for the prestigious British Society Of Magazine Editors editor of the year award in the sport, health and fitness category. He is the author of five training books and the editorial director of Emote Media, one of London’s leading creative agencies.
In 2014 he co-founded IronLife, a magazine app aimed at people who are serious about training, which has occupied the number one top grossing spot on the entire Apple newsstand and was nominated for a Digital Magazine Award after just four issues.
In 2015 he launched Alpha Man, a mainstream fitness media brand aimed at men. At industry events he regularly gives seminars on the subject of branding and he has acted as a content expert and consultant for global brands including Procter and Gamble and Visa.
He holds a few minor fitness qualification certificates and has competed at club level as an enthusiastic, if not particularly talented, weightlifter.
